The session I have selected is not playing, what is wrong?

First, check to see if you have Quicktime Player installed on you computer. If you do not, refer to the Installing Quicktime Player section below. If you do have Quicktime installed, did you click on the play button in the player. If you still do not hear any audio, system resources may be running low causing the browser to leak memory. To rectify this problem, stop the presentation and restart. If this does not cure the problem, stop the presentation, close the window and re-launch the presentation or restart you computer.

What can I do if I was listening to an audio session and it just quit?

If the audio or video should quit, simply click the play button on the Audio Player controls, this always appears as an arrowhead pointing to the right and the session will begin where it left off.

General troubleshooting tips for QuickTime Software on Windows-based computers:

Although the following tips are related to Microsoft Windows and PC hardware/software configuration, these steps may help to resolve issues.
    Troubleshooting Tips:
Make sure your computer meets the system requirements outlined at www.apple.com/quicktime/download/requirements.html.
Try running ScanDisk to verify that the directory is OK. This is an important step to take before installing any software.
Try running the stand-alone version of the QuickTime installer in "Safe Mode." It is available at www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone/. This can help to isolate issues with background applications, and some driver conflicts.
Make certain you have installed the most recent drivers for your sound and video cards. Even if you have a "brand new" computer, it is not guaranteed to have the most recent software installed. Contact the manufacturer of your sound and video cards for additional information.
Make certain you have installed a recent version of DirectX. This can be downloaded from www.microsoft.com/directx/.

Errors are usually related to software conflicts, unusable files, or incompatibilities. They can also be related to specific hardware combinations, and sometimes the way in which the hardware is configured. Keep in mind that an error message does not necessarily point to a particular cause or solution. Since there can be many different causes for a particular symptom, some suggestions may not work, and you may need to discover a solution on your own.

Important information for users of Windows Internet Explorer 5.5 SP2 and 6.0 with QuickTime:

Microsoft Internet Explorer for Windows, versions 5.5 SP2 and 6.0 no longer support Netscape-style plug-ins, such as the plug-in installed as part of QuickTime 5.0.2 and earlier versions. Consequently, Windows customers using these versions of Explorer who visit this site may be unable to view QuickTime content in the browser. To mitigate this problem and to ensure a positive experience, you should visit www.apple.com/quicktime/troubleshooting/streamingcheck.html to insure you have the new ActiveX control for QuickTime.Note: This affects only users of Internet Explorer on Windows.

    Browser recommendations:

Users are encouraged to use Netscape 6.2 or higher to view the archives or Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher.
