I am having trouble with my username and password, what should I do?

Usernames and passwords are required for online products only. Typically, you should have received an email from Conference Archives, Inc containing your username and password. If you did not receive the email, check your spam/junk folder to make sure it wasn't filtered automatically. Otherwise, contact Conference Archives, Inc. to have your username and password resent.

Please note that passwords are case sensitive.
To avoid mistyping we recommend that you copy and paste your username and password from the provided email. Make sure no extra spaces are selected before or after the password as this will cause an error.

How do I play a presentation?

Click on the presentation title and a new page will open with the presentation. The presentation should start automatically.

When I click on a presentation title, the presentation does not open. What could be the problem?

In some cases, a popup blocker may be stopping the window from opening. Usually, an information bar at the top will show you an alert and give instructions on how to proceed.
Additionally, you may need to enable the JavaScript option in your browser. Click here for instructions.

The presentation page opens, but it stays blank below the banner. What could be the problem?

You may need to install or update your current version of Adobe Flash Player. Click here for instructions.

The presentation opens, but I can't hear any audio. What could be the problem?

First, discard the obvious: make sure your speakers or headphones are connected, volume is turned up, and audio is coming out of your computer.
If you've heard audio on this presentation before, you may need to rewind and press play to restart the presentation.
If you haven't heard audio before, and you are viewing the archive from an office or company computer, make sure that your company IT department allows download and playback of MP3 files. This is achieved by placing restrictions on a Firewall or an administrative security feature on your computer.
If you can hear some presentations but not others, this may indicate a problem that escaped our quality assurance process. Please contact Conference Archives, Inc. to have the issue resolved.

The presentation opens, I can see the control bar but the slides don't load. What could be the problem?

If you are using Internet Explorer and your computer starts to run slow (you can tell when the cursor doesn't catch up with the mouse movement), your system resources may be running low due to a memory leak in the browser. This is a known issue with IE. To avoid this problem, do not open and close the popup window repeatedly. Instead, navigate back to the list page and chose another title. The popup will reload and come up again.

How do I disable my pop-up blocker?

In Internet Explorer, click on the menu Tools > Pop-up Blocker > click on Turn Off Pop-up Blocker. You may also choose to Add the site to your Allowed Sites within the Settings.
In Mozilla Firefox, click on the menu Tools > Options > select the Content tab > uncheck "Block Pop-up windows." You may also choose to click on the information bar's Options button and click on Allow popups for this site.
In Safari, click on the menu Edit > Preferences > select the Security tab > uncheck "Block pop-up windows". You may also choose to click on the information bar's Options button and click on Allow popups for this site.

Additionally, you may need to disable popup blockers from other plug-ins in your browser, such as Yahoo and Google toolbars.

How do I enable JavaScript in my browser?

In Internet Explorer, click on the menu Tools > Internet Options > select the Advanced tab > scroll to Security > check "Allow active content from CDs to run on My Computer".
In Mozilla Firefox, click on the menu Tools > Options > select the Content tab > check "Enable JavaScript".
In Safari, click on the menu Edit > Preferences > select the Security tab > check "Enable JavaScript".
Note: this product will not work on CD/DVD-ROM with this browser.

How do I install Flash Player?

Follow this link to Adobe's download page and follow their easy setup instructions.
Note: You must have an active connection to the Internet in order to complete the Flash Player installation.
If you use more than one browser, the Flash Player plug-in needs to be installed in each one.

What do I need to do if the supporting documents are not opening?

Most supporting documents are in PDF format. You need a PDF reader software such as Adobe Acrobat Reader to view them. Follow this link to Adobe's download page.
Note: You must have an active connection to the Internet in order to complete the Acrobat Reader installation.

Can I print the supporting documents?

Supporting documents can be printed from within your PDF Reader software. When viewing the document click on the menu File > Print.

The presentation stopped unexpectedly, what can I do?

Pressing the Spacebar while the player is in focus (when it is 'clicked on') will cause playback to pause. Simply press the Spacebar again to resume playback.
You may also click the play button in the Audio Player controls.

What are the supported Internet browsers?

We support the following browsers:

Netscape Navigator is no longer supported. Netscape users are encouraged to download and install Firefox.

AOL Browser is not currently supported.

What are the minimum system requirements?

Windows Systems Requirements

A Pentium-based PC or compatible computer.
At least 64MB of RAM.
Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP/Vista system software.
A Sound Blaster or compatible sound card and speakers.
DirectX version 3.0 or later recommended.
Screen resolution of 1024 x 786 or larger recommended.
Browser Plug-in: Adobe Flash Player version 9 or higher.
PDF Reader: Adobe Reader 5.0 or higher, Foxit Reader 2.0 or likewise.

Mac OS System Requirements

A PowerPC processor-based Macintosh computer.
At least 64MB of RAM.
Mac OS 7.5 or later.
Screen resolution of 1024 x 786 or larger recommended.
